Becky joined the St. Joseph Dentistry team in 2017, when her & her husband returned to their hometown of St. Joseph. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences. Becky and her husband welcomed their first child in May 2019. Her hobbies include playing soccer and traveling. She loves being back in Southwest Michigan and spending time with family and friends.
Emma is from the beautiful region of southwest Michigan and currently resides in Stevensville. She graduated from the dental hygiene program at KVCC. Emma is licensed in administering local anesthesia and nitrous oxide to ensure patient comfort. Emma is newly married and enjoys spending free time with her family, reading, lifting weights, and, of course, going to the beach in the summer.
Jake graduated from Bridgman High School in 2012. He then went onto Ferris State University where he received an Associate degree in Dental Hygiene. Jake has been with our office since September 2016. In his free time, he enjoys camping, boating, and spending time with family and friends.
Kim was born and raised in St. Joseph. She earned her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene from KVCC in June 2001. She has been performing Hygiene for the last 20 years and she loves it! Kim has a 9 year old son, Dayne, who certainly keeps her busy with his schooling and sports. In her free time, Kim enjoys gardening, animals and antiquing.
Kimmy is from Lexington, Kentucky where she received her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene in 1997. After several visits to her husband’s hometown of St. Joseph, they decided to make their stay permanent in May of 2020. Kimmy absolutely loves St. Joe and its small-town charm. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, exercising, traveling and spending time with her husband Chance and their cairn terrier, Bear.
Jenny obtained her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Indiana University, South Bend. She grew up in Niles, and moved to St. Joseph after graduating. In her free time, Jenny enjoys cooking, kayaking, spending time with family and friends, and antiquing.
Kathy is a graduate from Kalamazoo Valley Community College and started her career in Dental Hygiene in 1985 with Dr. Jeffrey Schmidt. She received her local anesthesia license in October 2017 through Ferris State University. She has been working with Dr. Howenstine since June 2012 when he took over the practice.
Lisa earned her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene from KVCC. After practicing in Kalamazoo for some time, she moved to Colorado for seven years.Lisa moved back to southwest Michigan in 2023 so she and her husband could welcome their first baby and be close to family. In her free time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her three dogs, cooking, and video calls with her husband's family in Columbia.
Sharon was born and raised in St. Joseph. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1981. Sharon attended Lake Michigan College in 1983 and received an Associate degree in Dental Assisting. She also attended Kellogg Community College in 1999 and received an Associate degree in Dental Hygiene. She is licensed in Local Anesthesia. Before joining St. Joseph Dentistry in 2016, she worked for Dr. Harvey Johnson since 1984. She is married with 2 grown children, enjoys fishing on Lake Michigan during the summer, home remodeling, and traveling. She loves to stay busy!
